WOOHOO a pet section! I think it will be quite popular!! Here's a couple of my pets, nothing spectacular but I liked them.
Here's my youngest retriever puppy Hunter. I was trying to take bird pics in my blind when he showed up.

This is Phoenix - Yellow Fronted Amazon bugging Boog our farm cat.
Boog really doesn't like Phoenix but they tolerate each others

Ummmm....huh? That first shot is quite spectacular!! And not only because I have a weakness for Golden puppies! It's beautiful.
Now you also can add to your crown, the title of being the first post in the Pets Forum. Da..da..da..da.da.da...daaaaaaa (that's a simulated trumpet sound!)

The first one is stunning, and a great capture of a very nice-looking dog! The second one just cracks me up. What a great "family" you have there! :)

Thats quite the crew you have there Ann.When I retire Im going to get a few animals myself.Im gone all day and I just dont think its right to leave them alone so Im doing without at the moment.
The Golden retriever will be in my top three choices for a dog.Its such a wonderful breed.
Does Phoenix talk?? Love that shot,it looks like he's talkin to Boog.
Had a high school buddy used to name his animals common names,Bob,Jim,Becky,Sam etc......still makes me laugh.

Well those 2 are just a couple pets, I have 2 other golden retrievers, 1 parrotlet, 1 lovebird and 1 pomeranian.
Phoenix has a fascination with Boog's tail. When the he eats, Phoenix comes and picks up his tail and nibbles on it. Boog tries to hide his tail under him so she will leave him alone, Last resort he leaves! Phoenix can talk, her words are very food oriented "Is that Supper?" Is that Good" "Wanna a treat" etc, probably about 25 words, she loves to sing but has no tone (same as me!) If I start yelling in the house, she does too, it's kinda of embarrassing!:o

LOL Martin, I will pass that along to Xena! She doesn't have many friends, probably cause of her warrior attitude!! She has grown back most of her feathers, but is the messiest looking bird I have ever seen! And she finally doesn't chase and bite Phoenix anymore, which makes things easier!!!

Believe me Dave, it has it's moments, and I'm usually in the middle of it all.
hmm , I've rescued the pom, had to give him the heinlich manoeuver, he got one of the big dogs treats, Vet said I did well! Another time a frozen chicken breast fell out of the fridge and gave him a concussion! Found a baby chick in retriever puppies mouth, soaked had to go and put under hen, it lived! Puppy is scared of the peacocks, so if they come near he cries! Big goose got a plastic band stuck on his tongue, had to use needle nose pliers and get that off! Xena our parrotlett pulled all her feathers out and then fell 10 feet, had a bit of a concussion but finally came to.
And as to training retrievers, I train them not to touch my birds! LOL,, All my outdoor birds run loose and are only put in at night to stay safe from predators.
My retrievers are taught Ravens and hawks are bad birds! As they do kill my pet birds, So they have saved a few birds by running the bad birds off!
Now isn't that too much information!!! :D

Ann:
Never a dull moment around that house, is there? http://www.pbase.com/image/66016380.jpg Very beautiful image of Hunter....nice lighting and love the shadows on his face. He looks so intense, like an adult yet still has that little puppy look. I'm partial to Goldens;)
The second picture really is priceless.
