Spent 2 1/2 weeks in beautiful Nova Scotia at the end of August - beginning of September. Finally got around to finishing processing the images, so now you all get to suffer as I start posting a few. <Big Wicked Grin>

Weather was fair to so-so too many days. Grey dull days seem to be the norm, though there were only two days where we actually had rain.

But sometimes, that grey foggy day allowed me to grab some interesting shots; three of which I offer here. Please note these are not B&W, but ful colour images.

Interesting shots Gene. Think I like the 2nd the best. Nice focus on the branch

Very nice Gene! I'm partial to the first one! I can imagine being there.

The conifers are really rich green in those lighting conditions. That shack beyond is a good contrast. I don't get fog conditions locally. I think once there was a morning fog which was put to use. I wondered what settings you used in these conditions.

Appreciate the comments, Rob. The branch was indeed the focus point.

Thanks, Ann. Weren't too many people oit and about that day. We often had the beaches all to ourselves.

Some of the images looked as if I used selective colouring with the sand, water and sky different shades of grey.

All images were shot at f/5.6 with a -1/3 EB. Shutter speeds were 1/320 for images 1 & 3 and 1/400 for image 2. Also I set White Balance to Cloudy day.

Having said all that, I shot these as I typically shoot almost all my images in P mode on my FZ30.

Thanks Sally. It's nice to know that a lack of light sometimes works as well as an abundance of light. <smile>

That last picture does it for me Gene. Looking at these, I can appreciate why they cancelled my flight a month ago. I wouldn't want to circle around Halifax in that fog.

Thank you, Master Mao. They do have their share of fog in the Maritimes. <smile>

Thanks, Paul. I did manage to grab a few decent landscapes with blue skies too. Will get around to posting a few soon.

Love them all Gene, but like the others I believe the last one is my favourite.

Isn't it amazing how all great minds think alike?

(The last is also my favourite. <Big Grin>)

Apreciate the comments, Bobby. Thanks.
