Was laid up weekend before last with a bad ear, nose & throat infection. (Still fighting it almost 10 days later.) Sunday (21 Oct) was a beautiful day and probably the best day to grab fall foliage shots here in the Montreal area. Unfortunately, I was too sick to get out that day.
To be honest, I've not been overly impressed with the Autumn colours this year. We had a very dry September which I feel contributed to the less than vibrant colours -- Hardly any reds, dull oranges and golds. Many maples went from yellow to brown.
Anyways, this past Friday, we had sun and after work I grabbed the camera and took a tour of my local area (about twelve block area). It was difficult in finding striking fall foliage, but I did manage to grab some decent shots (which I'll share at a later date.)
While out looking for colourful leaves, I came across some flowers -- most near the end of their beauty -- but with everything turning brownish, it was nice to see the splashes of colour here and there.

#3 - I think only the frost and snow kill these petunias. <smile>

I hope you found these enjoyable -- thanks for looking.
