I got the Canon Powershot G9 a little while ago, mainly for its RAW capability - wanted a P&S that shoots RAW, and the G9 seemed to fit the bill - nice and compact, but not too small - some people described it as "Leica-like". Well, it's been a steeper learning curve that I expected to get the most out of the G9 (it ain't no 5D, that's for sure :D).

Here is one of my early attempts, this is close to (but not quite) 100% crop:

Interesting shot Rudi. How so the steeper learning curve?

Hi Rudi,
One thing I learned when I had the fuji p/s was not to use the macro mode in stead use the full optical with a diopter lens the results are much sharper .
