View Full Version : Transfering images from laptop to desktop

What is the best way to do it.

Paul.. The best most trouble free way I have found is to just use an external harddrive to copy images to from the laptop. Then you can simply connect that external drive to your PC and transfer any images required that way. The bonus of course is that your external HD is your archive for all images. Once full, pack it away and purchase another drive.

I have tried networking two laptops both through routers and using a direct crossover cable and it is just simply a pain in the neck to re-set firewalls, create a personal network system, changing sharing options etc to allow transfers... For ME the external HD's is the solution and since I use HD to backup and archive my images it just made good sense.

Jeff's right Paul, you need a external drive, but I use a sandisk cruzer 4 GB and just plug into your usb port on your laptop and transfer. Sam:coo3l:
