Goodness eric you really came out with some keepers from this event! Love the first and the last one the best but they are all sweet. The plane in MIR0022 looks huge.

As always, Eric. Beautiful shots. Each and every one. One question for you... do you use manual focus for shots like this or try to lock onto a particular aircraft?

THanks Jonathan...I had some interesting skies that day... Clouds really helped out give some depth even if they messed with me all day and exposure corrections...
The plane in MIR00022 is a CV22 OSprey the swing rotor plane they are still working out kinks I think...

No way I could use manual focus for these flight shots.. Moving way too fast... Usually pick a plane and lock onto it from a distance and then try and keep it focus locked.... Gotten pretty decent at it lately....

Love the first two! Not a criticizm but imagine what #1 would look like with a clear sky!! Hey there Kevin... I know what you mean.. I have not had a sunny clear day to catch a pressure wave with all the moisture in the air... Also might have looked better if I zoomed in a bit closer, but was too cautious about missing it or cutting off the nose or tail of the plane....
