I don't do a lot of action photography, but here are a couple from the summer. This is a friend of mine who's into extreme sports. Kitesurfing is the latest one. These were taken from the spit at Squamish, BC. I think they were with the 300/2.8IS, but I did use the Sigma 50-500 for a little while that afternoon. The camera was the 20D, and I don't think it's the best camera for this kind of action. The 30D is supposed to be better, but I've yet to test it in this type of application.
The first is obviously a composite of a few frames shot in rapid succession.
