Did this one wild day on Lake Ontario, surfers were taking advantage of the high winds. Dynamic range was off the scale. It was either this or throw it out.

Pretty cool Bobby! The water is way cool. Did you manipulate it or is that the way it was?

Works for me! (I have one with a very similar effect from shooting at Squamish.)
I suspect this is straight out of the camera, with just a small boost in contrast.

Yep, you are right on Paul, this was what I got with just a small amount of contrast added.

Bobby, I like it...an interesting photograph.
Does not matter if they dynamic range is off the charts, it's still a very interesting photo to look at.

Thank you very much Robert and everyone elso who responded. I really was going to trash it. Based on everyones comments I'm glad I didn't. I definitely will print this with my new 9900. I picked up some Ilford classic pearl 11x17 to try.

Bobby,
I'm sorry, I was under the impression that I commented on this one before. Oops!
Well, I love it! I think you did the best under the circumstances, and actually came away with a real keeper! I really like the abstract, painting-like quality of this. :)

Kewl Bobby.... Sorry it took me so long to get around to looking... Like your choice of framing, as it gives the subject somewhere to move...
