Has anyone tried Capture1 4 ?

I downloaded capture1 4 and tried it. I found it easier to use than Lightroom and I seemed to get better conversions. I was interested to know if anyone else had tried it.

Didn't like Nikon's NX nor do I love DPP, have used Capture Le before and liked it.

All this week's post have been processed with it.

For me, it's ok. Different strokes for different folks.

Joe Marques did an evaluation of many different converters a long while ago and in his opinion, Capture1 produced the most accurate skin tones. I tried it a while ago when I first started shooting RAW (along with Bibble and RawShooters) for some reason I got accustomed to RSP and have stuck with it. Though I really should dig out C1 again and give it another go.

If you own capture one LE, you can upgrade to capture one 4 for free. You can also get a 30 day free trial. It is cross platform so it works on Mac or PC. I found it very intuitive and I seemed to get better conversions.

Thanks Bill. I have the full version which I got with the SanDisk offer a while back. Just need to fire it up and try it out again.
