In generel Yes !! But it all depends on the dogs so to speak. If you have 6 (not too) young and weltrained dogs you get more speed than if you have 4 young and weltrained dogs.

But for most of us life is not like that - we have them in all ages and conditions and we keep them till they have to leave this world. Hope this makes sence to you.

I can also answer in another way. At the nordic championships in 2005
the winner in 6 dog class got the time 01:21:49
the winner in 4 dog class got the time 01:32:19

Thanks Ann. It is a great place - most of the time we have to use the cart as you see - not always snow here in Denmark. So instead we go to Sweden for holiday in february - and then it looks like this:

Just catch the next flight to Copenhagen - or better yet. Make a phototrip with Harv, Bobby and other friends when we all have our holiday in Sweden. 200 samoyeds at the same place...

The photo from the icy lake is and old one from 2005 on a holiday in Sweden - actually the fall has been very very mild this year.
