Visited the Flying fox colony tonight as I had heard that it had grown to about 3,000. They were everywhere. Here are a few

Wow Robert! I had to look closely at first to see what the subject was. I thought I was looking at a tree and then I discovered all the bats. I like the evening shot in this series and in the last series you posted. They look even creepier with their eyes glowing.

Good capture under difficult conditions( the bat going like hell at night ) and they look like fruit hanging from trees, neat! Bill.

Thanks Blayne. My son is up at the moment & they went down & clapped & got the whole 3,000 flying. Was an interesting sight

Nice shots ... but I'm with Jerry. I know I have a phobia about these creatures. If one gets into the house, I will be in the corner, near tears, with my head covered sweat'n bullets!

Great job capturing these quick critters! :)

WOW. That must have been quite the sight seeing them all fly. What a great looking creature. I like the first shot Rob. That tree is dripping with them.

Oh my, I knew before I looked that this was another of those flying foxes/bats from last year.
I like Jerry, have a phobia about these things.
With that being said, you do an excellent job of shooting them. Awesome shots!

Thanks Sally, they are quite cute actually. If they didn't bite you could wrap one up in your arms & give it a cuddle:brows:
