BTW thanks again for all your input and advice. I hope I have learnt something. This time I shot at lower f Stop, F4 down from F5.6. I was tempted to use F2.8 but I thought I better not expriment in a live shoot. I went back this morning to shoot at the Equestrian event and the sky was overcast so the shadows are not as bad.

This is really good work Perry but I have a clear favourite. #6. That magnificent rise of the jumper having cleared the ground. WOW!

You did excellent. Hope you at least had some sleep rather than fretting over it, lol.

Beautiful set Perry, the light definitely was in your corner on this shoot. Your clients will love you for this presentation. Both animals, human and equine are captured perfectly.

Beautiful series, Perry. A job well done. Anxiety aside, this had to be a lot of fun for you. Way to go.

I'd still prefer a bit more wide open. Though the background on the first ones is in context it's still a bit distracting. I do like what you've done here though. There are some great action shots. I'm with Joe, #6 stands out to me.

Simply a great set of photos - enjoyed them very much - I too think number 6 is the most interestering to look at - and I wonder what it would have looked like if you had pushed the button just a tiny moment later on some of them - I mean - they didn't all make it without faults did they ??

PS. Had a look at them again after my comments. They grow on you !!!!

These are great. I especially liked the 6th one mostly because of the way the people in the background are arranged around your subject, but also the great pose of the horse, although I would clone stamp out the elbow and jacket of the person standing on the right.
