All shots with a canon 10D and a sigma 70-200 f2.8 at iso 1600, f2.8 and 1/250th

Lots of action stuff here. You were obviously kept busy. I'm impressed with how good it looks for ISO1600.

Well done Ron.
The 10D is no slouch and much better then people give it credit for, especially at high ISO. Buffer size is really its only limitation if you shoot RAW and even that is not that bad.

Yes. still learning where and what to shoot, looks like I will have lots of time for learning as she love basketball and fastball....

I actually started using hi iso recently and it is surprisingly good, setting everything up in manual works way better than letting the camera decide...

If it wasn't for everyone's comments I wouldn't have tried manual and still been left in the dark:coo3l:

Dingy, dark gyms are tough. I will often go up to iso 3200 to get that little extra shutter speed required for sports. Looks like you are off to a good start. I like to sit on the floor when shooting bball, for a better perspective.
