FD 600mm f4.5 with Eos adaptor

Someone has a FD 600mm f4.5 for sale over here with an EOS adaptor. Does anyone know how well this would work on an EOS 20d or 5d. They are asking around $2,000 AUS. Anyone with any thoughts.

Yes. Are you going to be happy focusing manually, and setting all the exposure settings yourself, especially with a 600mm lens? If so, make sure you check that the lens still focuses at infinity, even with the adapter between it and the camera body. Then, and only then, consider buying it. :)

Thanks Rudi. That's what I suspected. No Auto Focus. I knew that it would not have IS. But I won't be able to live without AF. It will just take too long between shots.:notworthy:
