I'm looking for a case that will hold two camera bodies, a 500mm lens plus a couple smaller lenses. It would be nice if it was a roller but this is not essential.
What are you using and would you buy it again. The Lowpro and Tramrac cases seem heavy and might be too large for airline overheads.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lowepro Photo Trekker AW II will carry a 500mm and can be used for carry on and will fit in the bins :)
This is not a roller but will do exactly what you need it to do. If you want a roller , try an airporter

Yup, exactly what Keith said. I've used it and with the exception of the security check I had no problems with the airlines.

Tamrac Expedition 7 fits in the overhead bin and would hold a 500 plus the other stuff you listed. No rollers though.

how about the new airport international from think tank.... the rest of the stuff is great but I have not tried this one yet... [edit] whoops, it won't hold a 500, but some of the other will ...so look around the site...... I have the airport security and it holds my 500 and two bodies and it fits in the overhead on most planes....

The Thinktank Airport International looks like an interesting bag. Combine this with the Airport Checkin for the laptop bag and it looks like a winning combination for traveling. I sure wish I could see one before I purchased it but
I think this is the way I will go. Thanks for the help.

Morrie, Glazers is now carrying some of the Thinktank bags, so you can check them out there. Also, ping Jim Thiel, he bought a bag specifically for this use prior to his Bosque trip. He looked at the Thinktank bags, didn't like the price, and then bought a Tenba bag, I believe. But it is nice, he can give you the exact model. I'll mention this to Jim tomorrow as well.
