I almost didnt go out today with dad, it was cold and cloudy, but decided anyways to tag along. Boy am I glad I did, the heart got racing today, very exciting for me. I got my first flight shot of any bird, and my first snowy all in the same day. I shot off lots of shots today and been bugging dad to get a couple on PS. :D
I cut him off but I still like it :brows: those flight shots are hard to get.

Mitchell there are just so many ways to say WOW but wow is the appropriate word. That cut off wing didn't hurt your photograph a lot it's still a WOW picture. OK that's enough wows. Awesome!

The second shot is really funny, good job in seeing that instead of not taking a picture because of the sign in the frame. The last time I was out shooting in the cold my batteries kept dyeing also. They are like Floridians, they stop working when it gets cold outside :biglaugh:. The trick is to keep them warm, you can rubberband one of those hand warmers around where the battery is on your camera or when the battery dies put it in your pocket for a little while till it warms up and it will come back to life.

Well, some of us Floridians are more tolerant of the cold than others. Fortunately i still have some "up North" clothes. :)
Mitchell, you did great with these shots. Don't worry about clipping the wings....just keep taking the shots. It's great practice! You probably already know how difficult it is to not cut off their wings when the birds get close. Keep at it though because when you get a "full framer" and nothing's cut off, it will be very rewarding!! :) (I'm still waiting for that to happen ;))
