Another weekend...another poorly lit gym. But I continue to try....I need to tweak the WB I think....must have been more florescent lights than I thought.

Anyway....critiques and comments welcome....

Nice work, I really like picture 3. Gymnastic gyms always seem to be too dark. I will be shooting at the local club soon and it is very dark.

I think you are right about the white balance Randy, maybe next time you could do a custom white balance in the gym and see how that works. Great action shots. As for cutting off the feet, welcome to our world of missing wings, heads and feet on our BIF.

Hopefully your gyms are lighter than what I have to work with! I bring a candle with me just to see my way around :)

Given how hard it is to shoot in these gyms I think they turned out pretty well. I still have a couple chances to go to try and get how best to shoot in them before my daughters competetive events start in the spring.

Were those with the 85 1.8?

Thanks.......... I used the 24-70 on Bars; the 85 on Floor & Vault and the 70-200 on beam. I guess I was an equal opportunity employer :)

Overall they turned out quite well I think Randy. In a couple the WB looks good, but in others it looks a little off. NTL they look pretty good for the tough conditions.
