Questions, I use to always use www.dropload.com to ftp large picture files, but for some reason it is not working for me???? What other free services do people use to send large files over the net or electronically?
thanks in advance

I just use my email function associated with my own domain. Do you have any restrictions on the size of files sent via the email you must have with your P-S domain?

I upload large files to my web server, then email people and let them know where they are, so they can download them. This way, there are no restrictions on file size (most people's email inboxes are limited to only a few MB).

I've used You Send It (http://www.yousendit.com/) before for large files and it has worked well.

Keith, I've been using IpSwitch WS_FTP for years (since widows version95) and it still works on my XP machine. It is very basic, but allows creation of new directories, addition and deletion of files from your host server. I believe they have a more modern free version... The version I have fits on a floppy disc.. If you can't find a free version I'll email you what I have.

Well you could use ftp, I mean that is what its for isn't it...
Or another easier way if your using kde is the public file server applet, just right click on the panel and fire it up then send your ip and port number to the one that you want to share files with, works great.....
Most instant messangers can share files also, and gmail can handle pretty big attachments.

So have I. I finally got a paid version, WS_FTP Pro and have been using it now for about a year. I don't think they offer a free version anymore, so you might want to take good care of that floppy disk if it still works. ;)
