Yesterday was a great day with my dad and Mr. Stahl. First time getting a picture of a hawk owl, bald eagle, saw a fox, saw a snowy owl and a pygmy owl but he was a long ways away. It was very chilly in the morning but warmed up in the afternoon. All shot with my 20d and 400mm f5.6. Trying to talk dad into buying me a sidekick :brows:

WTG. Mitchel.:cheer: :cheer: Had a great day with you and your dad. Your shots turned out super, you should be proud of yourself. They all look great against the blue sky. You spotting the fox for us was great. More so for your dad. :)

Mitchell, I am green with envy. I predict we'll be seeing your photos in National Geographic before long. And, by the way, I was with a National Geographic photographer on a trip recently and he often used a 20D! I wasn't too happy about that, as I've been thinking that if I had a "better" camera than my 20D I'd take "better" pictures. This photographer proved me wrong, as you have with these pictures --- it just doesn't get any better than what you've shown us here. Congratulations!

Mitchell, although I should be expecting results like this from you now, you continue to amaze me. Wow! What great shots. These are all great shots but the last two are awesome. You have become a very talented photographer and it's wonderful to see you getting so much out of your equipment. Congratulations.

Beautiful captures Mitchell. They are all very good, you take a back seat to no one. Spotting that fox for your Dad should make the negotiations for the sidekick go smoother.

Great shots Mitchell. I really like the third one. You need to convince your dad to wear a mouse costume to get those distant owls to fly in closer :brows:.

Holy smokes! These are just AWESOME! I really cannot pick out a favorite, but I'm leaning towards #3 and #4. Truly, truly, spectacular work. I am impressed!

Very nice photos Mitcell. The ice on the first image really adds to the shot. :notworthy:
