not really worthy of the bird and wildlife forums, but I was rather pleased with these. I took them through the window using the 300 f4 and TC17EII at ISO 500 and the D200. All handheld and I was really checking for sharpness.

With a 4 year old running around, I don't get to get out too often so I have to settle for what's flying/running around the yard ;)

Thanks for looking:biggrin:

Thanks, bobber! I am pretty pleased. I realized I couldn't be a wildlife shooter because a hawk had earlier scattered all the birds. When I looked out the window to see what the commotion was about, I was mortified to see he had caught a bird in the middle of the SNOWY/WHITE yard...ugh! It was peppered with blood and feathers....I'll just stick to little snaps out the windwo, thank you ;)

Sam, I was really trying to get the little guy to scare the blue jays so I could practice taking BIF pics. At 4 years old, he doesn't do a DARNED thing I tell him to do. Thank you!

Hey, thanks Mike! I was pleased to say the least. I was a little worred about this combo, but I'm gearing up for my trip to MN. Starting early ;)

I've seen far to much of your work to ever pay attention to you saying 'not worthy'. BS. Keep them coming, lady.

Now.....who's good for who's ego ;) Thanks, Harv. I wish I could take pics like you guys and gals do in that forum, but sadly, that will not be the case. I do, however, like to see what everyone else is able to accomplish......maybe one day I can get the little guy to actually do what I ask and scare a bird into my line of focus ;)

excellent captures Lisa, if this is hand held through a window you have done exceptionally well. I love the smorgasboard set out for the Jay. I'm surprised there isn't a bluejay version of a fist fight trying to get at this. Wonderful squirrel portrait.

Lisa you nailed both of them right on. Good sharpness but I especially appreciate you taking the second one just for me. Well you did, didn't you?

I disagree! I think they're more than worthy of their proper forums! Nicely done, Lisa. Looks like you're enjoying the new camera body! :)

Thank you! Bobby, you hit the nail on the head. I did have a couple coming at the feeder, but neither I nor the camera knew which to focus on first...so they were both OOF;)

;) Joe, you know I did!!! ;)

Mao! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: The birds are used to Zack....the squirrels, that's another story. They taunt him, but he moves pretty darned quick sometimes.

lmao; lmao; lmao; devil1; I've thought of that several times :arghh: but I think I'd be the one wrapped around the tree when I was done ;) He is a devil1;

These look nice and sharp to me, Lisa! Nice job.

Thank you, Kev! Still working on my portraits but I kind of miss my 85mm f1.4 which I hope comes back from Nikon VERY soon. In the meantime, I'll chase birds ;)
