Well today is the opening of a 4 day event. This is the yearly Port fairy Folk Festival where over 20,000 people attend. I am one of the offical event photographers and I get access to the back stage as well. Here it is my first picture. I just returned home and it is 12.20am now, so I will just do one post for the moment and will post more over the next few days

The 20-200 version might be hard to find, Rudi. I suggest you think about the 70-200 version. I have one and love it. However, if I run across a 20-200, I might just buy it. :biglaugh:
I almost forgot....... nice shot, Perry. These guys look like real characters.

WTG Perry. Nice to see all them pixels at work on the 1Ds MKII. Lately I've surprised myself with some full frame landscape shots and the results are CLEAN!
Handled the exposure really well too, I might add.

Thanks everyone for comments. I am aching all over from kneeling in front of the stage and taking shots at awkward angles. There are about 5 to 6 large stages and one of them fits about 6000 people. There will be live performances all day from 10am to 1am. I am going back to event soon and I have taken 36 gig of memory cards with me and I hope thats enough :)

Beautifully done Perry, I think the guy on the left is asking his friend if he can borrow some hair.

Great shot Perry. Who was that that Joe was singing with? This is the first year I have not attended in over ten years. Previously from Koroit & then Hamilton
