These three images sold as prints at a recent art fair. However, the more I look at them I wonder if the color is off. If you have a calibrated viewing system I would appreciate your feedback. First two were taken near sunset, on different days with Auto White Balance. They certainly have the warm look, but is it too strong? The last one was shortly after sunrise and seems more correct. I may want to try setting my Kelvin temps to experiment.

David, I'm personally not particularly fond of the yellow-y light at sunset when viewing animal shots. But, when I look at the first two in comparison to the last one, I actually prefer them to the 3rd. In a way, for me, it seems to add a sense of mild drama to the shots, if that makes sense. It just gives the first 2 an edge in comparison.

I think it would be hard for anyone who wasn't there to witness it for themselves to say how accurate the color is but trying to imagine either of the 1st two without the "golden glow" seems less impacting.

Imho.

well I have to be contradictory, you know me  In looking at the three, and not knowing what you saw, my preference is 1 and 3 and feel number 2 is too warm and a bit of a color cast. personally based on these photographs, what a nice problem to have, gorgeous pictures, nice compositions and interesting crops. Nicely done!

David, not much to add just wanted to say that I am in agreement with keith's assesment on these.

Thanks Kevin, Keith, and Jonathan. I'm going to experiment more with dialing in the K for these golden light shots and see what I get. I appreciate your taking the time.

I would try dialing down on the first two and see what you think(dialing down the WB)
It is nice to see they sold and I see why

I found that a neat point as well! What the critical eye would have seen as slightly warm. Sells!! how cool is that;)
