Jeff, I've always liked the lighting effect that is created by setting your subject in the window as you have in the first shot. My favourite picture of my wife is a portrait I did of her 25 years ago with the same approach. You done good, son. :)

That last shot of your grandson is PRICELESS. OMG... that expression! What a great capture.

Looks like it has all been said, I too like the lighting in the first and the expression in the 3rd is hillarious, LOL!!! 2nd one I like the post and the smile, just looks a tad flat. What WB were you using?
