Here are a couple of highschool football shots. First year for me on both. Shot under awful lighting at ISO 3200.

You know Jeff that I really like you work and these shots are a good example of why I like them. I don't think that I have seen that first one before and it is well captured. The receiver just looks like he is clawing at that ball to hand onto it, and he is obvisouly going to be tackled immediately.

The only thing keeping me from loving these shots even more - he uniforms of the one team look too much like Packer uniforms! :eek: :D

And Kevin, as I have metioned before, isn't it great that its there is you do want or need it? It may be noisy and not optimal for all situations - but I think that its great to have as an option - if it comes down to ISO3200 or putting the camera back in the bag - I gald that I can keep shooting.

Packers? What..you aren't a cheesehead? :) Doesn't look like anyone needs to fear the packers this year.:(

Wow! That's pretty impressive for 3200ISO!! I've only played around with it, never have tried to "use" it. ;)

The lighting was so bad, I could only get 1/500 or so, at f/2.8...and then I had + .3 compensation. Shooting in manual mode, CW metering. I figure if I can learn to shoot highschool at night, I can pretty much learn anything. Not saying I HAVE learned...more present tense...IF I can learn.:)

No Jeff - I'm the "Anti-Cheesehead" - a Bears fan! And I agree with your statement about fearing the Pack this year! :D

I didn't like the Packers, till Farve started playing. In fact, used to hate the Packers.
Always liked "Da' Bears". Especially 85' Bears! What a great team. Mcmahon, Payton, Gault, Fridge, Singletary...etc.

If Bears get a running game this year, Grossman could be even better!
