Hello everybody,
I was wondering what everyone uses, or if anyone has recommendations what to use, when you want to 'embed' an interactive photo album in a website..I've heard of RSS feeds, is there anything else available that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Free is even better :)
Thanks!

Define interactive. :)
I use Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/). Server-side software, does everything I want. I haven't linked to it yet (still in build), but it can be seen on my website HERE (http://www.rudiphoto.net/gallery). :)

I used Photoshop's gallery creation tool to create an online gallery. I had to modify it slightly to work on my website but you can view it on my "Galleries" section at www.imagesbykevin.com (http://www.imagesbykevin.com)

I use a flash gallery,
It is a plug in for flash called SlideShow Pro. It is super easy and you only need to know the very basics of flash to get a cool slide show. I believe the cost is 25$ ... You can download Flash 8 from Adobe and use the trial version for 30 days with the plug in.

Thankd for the suggestions, folks! I took a look at "Gallery", as suggested by Rudi, but I guess you need to be fluent in techno-speak because it doesn't seem to be working after downloading it...
I'm currently using Photoshop 5.0 Education Version...doesn't look like there's a gallery feature in there, unless I'm not looking in the right place...

Hi Rudi,
By interactive I mean I want people to be able to go on my website and choose which gallery or 'album' they want to look at, kind of like what you did on your site...not like some sites where the photos start scrolling automatically. I tried downloading "Gallery" but it doesn't seem to be installing onto my system...

Have a look at Smugmug. It costs about $40 per year and I have used it without a hiccup since I signed on. It's simple and easy to use.

You want to install it on your web server - who is your web host? - They might already have it installed.
What I like about Gallery is that I can change photos, move them between galleries, edit or delete different galleries, all on-the-fly! No need to rewrite a gallery page from scratch every time, just move or delete or add the photos you want, whenever you want. Life's good! :)
Your other option is what Harv suggested, go with someone like SmugMug or ZenFolio (I also have a ZenFolio gallery HERE (http://rudiphoto.zenfolio.com) if you want to check that out).
