If you are on a Mac, I thought this tip might be helpful if you would like to develop your own website. I have been using Shutterbug for my website now for several years. Not only have I used it for my personal photo website but have built sites for friends of mine who have businesses and wanted a presence on the web. It is not expensive at $40, requires no programming, and has a large selection of templates that you can customaize. Adding slide shows and albums is a real strong point of Shutterbug.

There are just a few other things required for your personal site. You will need a domain name and an ISP. Once you have that, you can develop your site with Shutterbug. It creates all of the files for you. Then upload them to the server provided by your ISP and you are on the web.

If you would like to see what Shutterbug can do check out my site (http://www.ricwis.com) or the store sites I created for the hobby shop (http://www.nwrchobby.com) or where I work. (http://www.wildbirder.com)

You can see Shutterbug here. (http://xtralean.com/) I don't work for them or have any connection. Just a great product that has saved me an enormous amout of time and is fun to use. I'd be glad to answer questions about this subject too. Its loads of fun to have your own space on the web.

Thanks for the tip, Rich. I'll check it out. :)

How would you say this compares to iWeb, Rich?... You know what, I think I'll just download the demo and find out for myself! :D
