They let me out today so I took advantage of my new found freedom to make a run for the shoreline. I can't believe my best friend, Harvey signed me in here. The Whitby Psych hospital is very old and has a rich and checkered history. It fronts on Lake Ontario and the public has access to the shoreline and grounds. I went back today and tried a variety of things none of which worked particularly well but I'm posting anyway. As my doctor says, Every day in every way I am getting better and better. Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most.

I must apologize, I am having upload problems to SmugMug. I think it is me and not them. All I am able to post are the following all taken when my keeper had his back turned.

I swear on Harveys life the Monarch was shot on the grounds even though I've got lots more from other locations.

Sure, Bob... Sure. I believe that the monarch was there. <looks to see if Bob's nose is growning> Nice 420mm macro shot. Or was that a 300mm macro shot?

It looks like you're getting on to the birds in flight thing. Nice start, Bob. Keep at it as what it takes is lots of practice.

I like that shoreline photo a lot. Good eye. <if he was not standing in my way, I would have had that shot>

Well done, Bobby.

Them apples don't look so good. Hopefully you didn't eat one or give one to Harv!

I like the butterfly and leaves shot best but those geese are pretty cool too!!

I'm glad you got out! You have lots of nice shots here. My favourites are the geese and the shoreline.
