I hope someone can point me in the right direction so I can find a Nikon to Canon adapter with AF confirm...any one?

There's a vendor on ebay that sells one. I know Igor has one. I want to say it's Fotodiox (check www.fotodiox.com). I know they carry the one without the electronics but they may also carry the one with.

I still think I'm going to pick up some AIS lenses and use them with an adaptor. I always have an eye out for some good ones. :)

Fixed it. Please try again!

I regret selling my 105/f2.5 AIS lens. That thing was the most magnificent lens I've ever shot with...

Shoot Igor a PM. I know he has one with the AF confirm, iirc. There's a post here somewhere but I don't know what to search with to find it.

Yep, Alex and me use the AF-confirm adapters on 30D bodies with great results. I bought both on ebay, currently they sell for about US$50 plus $10 s/h.
Just type "AF confirm nikon canon eos" in ebay search and you'll get a few items to choose from.
Here's the link to the seller I bought mine from:

Thanks Igor...I just sent him a message on e-bay to see if he had one for the 5D. From what Iam reading, the 5D adapter is not the same as the other canon body's. I dont know what the difference would be,but they say its not the same. I'll up-date this when he gets back to me!!!

Interesting that it would not be the same adapter... I cannot think of a reason why, unless the crop cameras make it easier to keep infinity focus by somehow cropping the image circle!

Where are you reading that info, Bobber? The seller's ad says "all" digital EOS bodies, including the new Rebel.

I just got a reply from that e-bay sell, and he thinks it will work. The only thing I remember about the adapter not working was related to the mirror some way...but I dont see where it would make a difference...I went ahead and bought it....the worse that can happen is I'll have to send it back!!!

As long as the adapter does not protrude inside the body any more than your EF lenses, I cannot see it being a problem (you just want to make sure that it clears the mirror).

Great point Rudi. Bob you have to be really careful because it could be disastrous if the mirror flipped up into the adapter. That is the reason EF-S lenses only fit crop bodies, they protrude further into the mirror box.
