O.K. never mind. It made it's way through the screen. I turned off the computer so it would'nt burn up in there and had hoped it would craw out.
I'm guessing it's still in there somewhere though.

Rudi, It was a small red bug. Kinda just looked like a red dot..until I looked at it through my lupe.

I just had to say, Carlton, that having been in the computer business for 21 years and dealing with "bugs" in code all the time, this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone having a REAL bug in their computer. Thanks for the morning laugh. :) :computer:

Not much you can do other than take it to a Mac store and send it in for cleaning?

... this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone having a REAL bug in their computer. ...

Then you haven't been in computers long enough. I went to a lecture given by Admiral Grace Hopper where she talked about finding the first computer 'bug' (http://rur-ple.sourceforge.net/en/bugs.htm). :)

Actually the first computer bug was in fact a real bug, a moth :)

LOL

Sorry, I meant first-hand by a person. The story I already knew. To give you an idea of how long I've been in computers:

When I was 15 (I'm just shy of 40 now) I was one of the caretakers of the mainframes and mincomputers as well as the cash registers for Peoples Jewellers. But that wasn't when it started. I have owned computers back to a Commodore Vic 20. But THAT isn't when it started. I have been using them back before CBM1010 and PET days, even playing on the IBM 360 at Dad's work. But EVEN THAT isn't my first experience with a computer.

When I was 15 (as noted above), the CEO of People's Jewellers, Irving Gerstein, walked in to the computer room to show it off to some visitors. My father had worked for People's for years so I knew Mr. Gerstein. He walked up to me, threw an arm around my shoulders, and introduced me by saying, "This is Doug. We've known him since he had his diaper changed on these computers' disk drives."

Obviously it wasn't the same drives but you get the idea. And in case you're wondering, that is NOT how 15-year-olds like to be introduced to ANYBODY! hahahaha

I remember those old Commodores. I remember the one at the 1978 computer show across from disneyland. It used a cassette tape to boot it up.
No hard drive, just tape drive.
