Hey Ray!
Welcome!!
I like this shot. At first I wasn't sure about the "glow" in the pink but I think it adds to the ethereal feel and your choice of selective coloration. Nicely done!

The isolation with the BG done in b&w and diffused, along with the sun backlighting your daugher, this works very well Ray. Nicely done! Great to see you posting here, hope you decide to stick around. All the best, hope you enjoy it here!

Hi, Ray... and welcome to the forum.
This is a lovely candid portrait of a lovely young lady. You have obviously caught the moment. Well done.

Very nice Ray. Have you tried a square crop? The light line on the right is a little distracting and I think cropping the right would look nice. Just a friendly suggestion. You have a beautiful daughter.

Many thanks for the help and advice - really appreciated - so much to learn:eek:
I think that is a good idea about the crop and am going to do that.
I have actually printed this image as is and it has come out really well in terms of sharpness and definition.
It has quite amazed me as I have it as an A4 size.
I shot with my D70 18-70 lens and printed at home on an old canon i865....
NOW....must re-do and get the crop as suggested.
Very best wishes to all

Ray:
These types of shots are always the best...when they don't know you are watching them. This is no exception. You captured this moment brilliantly and that kit lens really shines for youcool;

Ray,
You've demonstrated great camera control to quickly frame and squeeze for this wonderful moment! I also very much like your processing. What lens did you use?
I love the fine detail preserved in her hair etc. gg:)

Many thanks Robert
I used the Nikon budget 70-300 lens....about £80
Sometimes it amazes me and others 9low light) it can be a problem.
Very best wishes
Ray
