Hello all,

Well, I just found out yesterday that I get a govt. employee discount on all Nikon camera equipment thru a rep (approx. 30% off...YAY!!!) so I'm thinking of getting a new P&S whilst I save up for a DSLR...

Anyone have any experience with the Nikon Coolpix P5000? Good, bad, ugly, whatever?

Yeah, I had read the review...which was more negative than what I'd heard froma few folks who own one...hmm..

Josée, just an idea, but.... since you're already leaning towards a Nikon DSLR anyway, how about applying the discount towards your Nikon DSLR purchase? The P5000 review is not overwhelmingly positive, not even close, so why not just wait a little longer??? (I know, it's easier from where I'm sitting, but it might be the best way to go. :) ).
