My daughter is a big animal lover. First, a picture of her hamster Muffy (who has, sadly, passed on.)

And her hermit crab, "Shelly."

I took the hamster photo with a studio strobe, aimed at the ceiling. That way I could get bright, even lighting without having to worry about positioning the lights.
The hermit crab shot was taken with a Sigma EM 140 DG macro flash.
