Since I posted a close up of The Orion Nebula I though I'd post the Running Man (NGC 1977) as well. This one is located just above the Orion Nebula in the Sword of Orion. It's not visible with the unaided eye or with binos unless you're blessed with very dark skies. I sometimes design posters with my images for presenation and fun. This was taken with a 10" Meade LX200 and Canon 20D in prime focus. f/6.3 woth focal reducer. Stacked and processed in PSCS.

Anyone sick of astro shots yet? I've got a bunch.

It's interesting to see the close-up! I could also clearly make him out in your previous image. :)

Whoa fasinating...it is a running mancool; I am loving the series..very unfamiliar and neat!
