Canadian Rockies Shoot 2007 ?????

I have a suspicion that if someone < I won't mention any names here > were to look into a Canadian Rockies Shoot for next year, we just might get a lot of takers. I know I would pack up and head out there. :D

We might even have a couple of forum members who know their way around out there.

Just for the record, if anyone wants to know... I'm in.

I think that so long as Keith is hosting the bar, we should let him pick the best time of year for a Rockies Retreat.

Doh!! I have already made plans for most of my vacation for next year already. Florida in February for birds, Missouri in June for Trout fishing, and Glacier NP in September for landscapes and wildlife. I need a better job to afford all these trips. I don't think I'll be able to make it next year but I'll keep it in the back of my mind incase something comes up. It is somewhere I really want to go.

We could have a Canadian Rockies get-together in Waterton - it's just across the border from Glacier NP, and not as crowded as Banff.

Just take me to the mountains and meadows teaming with wildlife and I don't care where it is.

So Harvey, are we driving from here or flying???? I've done the drive from Calgary to Vancouver and it's absolutely breath-taking! My first view of the Rockies literally took my breath away - I had to get out of the car and just gape - it looked like a Hollywood movie set. I'd say I'm in about 75% -just have to see how biz goes over the winter/spring (taking 4.5 months off work puts a dent in the savings acct).

I would do a poll, but I don't know how!!!

Yep, it does. I've taken off about the last 5 years... imagine what it's done to mine. Maybe we can get enough on board and hire a bus. Or charter a small plane. Or thumb our way west.

I would do a poll, but I don't know how!!!

Just ask your bro.

What a horribly sexist comment. What do you think this will do to his self-esteem? Are you prepared to deal with the years of therapy, cost of medication, etc.? After this, he may not be able to use his camera ever again, become totally agora-and-camera-ophobic, and you will have been the cause. I sure hope you are proud of yourself...

Wait, this might mean gear for sale cheap ......

On second thought, Go Sandi Go :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

I'm watching this, if I can convince the "better half" that this is a great way to spend some "together time" ..........

If you're driving Harv, you'll be passing right by here. (That would be a long drive though). None the less anyone that wants to stop by while they are in this area I'd be more then willing to show them around...

As for the Rookies get together. I wish I could say I'm in but not sure until the time comes and dates are set..

Keith, thinking and doing do not always come together. If I can convince Daphne to do the driving, I should be okay. I can't sit at the wheel of a car longer than an hour or two. I have a bad hip that starts to give me problems if I do. At least as a passenger, I can move around a bit. I'm working on it.
