I keep seeing people images in in a black frame.. How do you create it, and how can you reuse it every time..

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum :cheer:

Have you checked out this spot before http://www.atncentral.com/ ????? Go to frame actions and there are bunches of them there.....many people just make them from scratch in PS too :):)

Can you show us an example of what you want ??

I use white mattes and black frames on some of my images. I downloaded an action from Action Central that does it all for me. A couple clicks of the mouse and setting a couple of values and it generates automatically.

Go to www.atncentral.com and click on the Downloads link in the menu. Then scroll down till you see something called EZMitre by Bud Guinn. His is the action that I use.

I think when you download, it's a zip file. You'll need to extract the .atn file from the zip. I'm going by memory so I may be wrong but you'll need to put that action file into your "Photoshop Actions" folder. I think the path is:

c:Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop 7/Presets/Photoshop Actions

Use your windows explorer and browse the tree. You should be able to locate the correct folder (or do a search for *.atn and that should point you in the right direction). Once extracted, copy/paste it into the appropriate folder.

Then open Photoshop 7. On your palette on the right there's a little button with an arrow. It by default is your second panel from the top on the right side of your screen. The one just above your Layers Palette. There will be a menu that appears. Look for "Load Actions". Select that, then navigate to your EZMitre.atn file. Then that action will appear in that palette. (I think that palette is tabbed and one of the tabs says "Actions").

HOller if this isn't clear. I'm doing this from memory and I haven't had fish since Mao & Paul were here. ;)
