This is Pete or Petey as I call him. He's a Rose-breasted Cockatoo. I did a set up in our living room to take some shots. Used fill cards to help bounce light.

Thanks Mike. Amazing what can be done with some house plants and yard clippings.

Well, the setup obviously works. It's a simply beautifully bird, beautifully photographed. Well done.

These guys are hilarious in the wild! You should see them when there's hundreds of them, having fun in the late afternoon sun, feeding in the grass. They have a really wicked sense of humour.
Nice capture! :)

Sorry this one got away from me.
Thanks all for looking and commenting.
Rudi, I'd be in awe of seeing these birds in the wild. Are they very nervous? How close can you get? Not an abundance of large tree dwelling birds here other than the raptors and they're fairly scarce in the neighborhood, although I saw a hawk when leaving for work today.
Jonathan, Petey gets lots of attention and is in the same room as a Yellow Nape Amazon. I rarely pass by him without petting him or scratching his head, he really likes that.

Very good picture. I've heard they are quite intelligent.
