Just so everyone knows to look for it, in Lightroom 1.2 and ACR 4.2, Adobe has LESSENED the amount of noise reduction applied by default. Yes, lessened.

When the added to the feature in 1.1 (and 4.1), they apparently added a bit too much for a lot of users. Based on that, they have made an "halfway" (or so) opposite change.

Not earth shattering, but it shows that they care a bit (?) about the users complaints, and about getting the image looking good from the start. Brownie points for that. Lightroom is a good all around product.
