One from this past weekend while traveling. I really liked this horse sculpture. It held an energy or attraction about it. Almost looked like skeletal formations more than drift wood. When I saw the clouds open and the spot light from above, I figured it made a good shot. It was a very overcast day though, and I just wasn't sure if the picture did anything for anyone else though.

Would possibly have been improved with a grad neutral density to bring down the sky and up the grass, but I didn't have one with me. Also wasn't sure if I should attempt to clone the human sculpture in the background out.

Thanks. Greg

I agree Greg, I would like to see the sky darker and a little more definition to the grass. I don't think the secondary sculpture adds anything to this photo. I do like the overall image though.

I think Bobby's comments have allot of merrit Greg. For me , your point of interest is the horse, yet the sky gets 2/3rd of the frame? I probably would have reversed that, so compose the shot differently to convey what it is you wanted us to see. yes a split ND would have helped you better expose the forground without blowing out the sky. The last part is the lighting is very flat and not in your favour, so I probably would have waited for the sun to peak out?

Sorry it took so long to comment, hopefully you find some value or feedback you were looking for. to me photography is all about lighting and composition, then we have the technical part to try and capture it :)
