Harv and I were out a few years ago at a professional mountain bike race. Man these guys are crazy. We were at the bottom of a hill while these maniacs came pounding down and around a bend. Shot a million that day and this is probably the only one in focus. Would loved to have had auto focus back then.

That rider had the big smile on his face because he had just run over my foot and knocked my brand new 80-200 2.8 to the ground.

Nice capture, Autofocus is a plus when the action is flying by.......

You sure it is a smile or is it a grimace :) ;)

Good capture - your post made me laugh as my Dad at one point bought a shiny new Canon AE-1 and some lenses and then swore at the thing for years because of out of focus shots! :D

I am glad that I grew up in the auto-focus generation - that is for sure. With this photo - I cannot tell if the guy is happy and smiling or if he is in pain? Could be either........
