Ron, I really like the first one as it shows off the terain and you really nailed the focus / depth of field to get both the first bike and the face of the second biker -- not to mention the third biker and that last helmet.... way to go!!

Ron - great work and something that I would like to shoot at some point myself. Can I ask what your strategy was for focusing these shots? I think that there is more than one way to do it and I'm curious which way you chose. Thanks.

Thanks Everybody,
Jared, I tried autofocus for #1 shot but it wasn't working for what I wanted so I manually focused on the middle hump. Everything else was handheld and panned.....

Thanks for the info Ron - that is exactly what I was curious about. Good work.
Thanks Jared, I tried faster shutter speeds but there wasn't sa much sense of motion. These were around 1/250th to 1/400th sec. If I can get my panning down a little better I would try even slower as it makes a better motion background....

This may be your first attempt, but the results make you look like a seasoned pro. Job well done here.

Excellent action shots. The first one really grabs my attention. I like the tall trees in the bg and the other riders coming up behind as well.

Thanks Harvey, I would really like to do this more and try and sell some but time doesn't permit me to do so....

That is my favourite shot. I had to walk the track and really look for a spot to take some different perspective pictures... I wasn't on the track but just off one side on the corner where I had to duck as a bike missed the corner and jumped me... That is why you have to sign a waiver to shoot pictures from the track:(
Nice action shots!!
Thanks Ann, I have to get around to processing some more shots. Then again I have to go out and shoot more, hmmmm which to do first...:D:D:D
