Had to go to Toowoomba today for a meeting & knew the Carnival of Flowers was on in town so after work decided to head down & look/see.
First one is a four shot pano that shows one of the group of beds

The others are single stems that I have had a play with in Photoshop. Can't remember all of the moves but someone might like taking a look.
Original size maybe seen at

I'm with Harvey on this one Rob. Number 1 gets my vote for the realism, which I prefer to some of the 'special' effects. Looks like a pretty place.

Nice panorama Rob! Reminds me of the Floriade down at Canberra (http://www.floriadeaustralia.com/) which is on now until mid October. Always plenty of tulip and a great range of other spring flowers.
Interesting treatment you had for the flowers, and the last tulip is nice with the DOF isolation. Well done!

Jonathan

Thanks Jonathan. Will post some of the floweres without PS shortly. Just felt like playing with Photoshop to see what can be achieved. Still a steep learning curve in this area. P.S. Have'nt seen the flowers at Canberra for years. Heading that way in November, might call in for a look. Regards

First and last for me Rob, I find flowers so beautiful in their own right and especially when isolated with DOF, you can achieve some pretty artist renderings. As you did in the last one, but it's all in the eye of the beholder (+: Nice work Rob

Thanks Lindsey, I'm not so "Savvy" with photoshop moves but thought they would be a good subject to have a play with. Appreciate your kind words
