Floriade 2007

Hi everyone,

On my travels around the countryside, I found myself in Canberra yesterday. So I thought I'd go to Floriade. Floriade is an annual flower exhibition, you can find out more details HERE. (http://www.floriadeaustralia.com/)

It was quite windy and the sun was way too bright, but I still snapped a few. Here is the first of many that will get posted over the next few days... :)

Great one Rudi really. I'm glad you're going to be doing that since there is a strong resemblance to the Floriade in Holland. When I first glanced at your heading I thought it said Florida 2007. I yelled "Holy Cow Rudi is in Florida."
Then I read it again.

Seriously, one day I'll make the trip, and once I'm half-way around the world, I'll make sure I travel up north and say hello while I'm on the same continent... :)

And I was all prepared to offer some nice, cordial invite to you but after reading your response all I can say is of course I'll show you around to all the great birding places. Just be really careful near the water's edge in the wetlands with that 300/f2.8 around your neck.033;033;033;

Very nice Rudi!

Always like the Floriade, but don't get to go every year. The sea of tulips are amazing and the highlight of the whole show.
