Cool shot Pam!:notworthy:
Any reason why water drop is a winter sport? I can understand the snowflake bit... ;)
Look forward to more of these, and I am sure you will fill us in on the details on how these are done.

The shot looks so simple BUT, try to imitate this shot and you'll soon be tearing hair off your head from frustration if you didn't know what you were doing.
I'll keep my hair, in other words, I simply love what you do with drops.

Because it's too darn cold outside  Actually it's too nice to be spending all that time in the basement doing drop shots when it's nice summer weather outside.
Look forward to more of these, and I am sure you will fill us in on the details on how these are done.

There are two ways to do this: Set up your camera on a tripod with a flash, drop liquid and hit the shutter at just the right instant to capture the moment....no kidding, this has been done successfully before.
The second method is to create an electronic device (http://www.hiviz.com/tools/triggers/makeown.htm)which detects a drop falling and fires your flash at the right instant. You do this in the dark, use the "bulb" setting on your camera to hold the shutter open, the flash happens, then you close the shutter. The key is to get the lighting right, which is what I am experimenting with.
The shot looks so simple BUT, try to imitate this shot and you'll soon be tearing hair off your head from frustration if you didn't know what you were doing.

It is tiring at times, and every good shot has hunderds of bad shots to back it up. I'm glad you enjoy them.
