Early Rains

We don't often have rain this early in the winter season, but today it poured.
I found this interesting pattern in the street.
It was a good reminder to take my time and drive more carefully.

Something happened here Virginia. This is the second time I've replied but none are showing. I too like the patterns and the colors in the oil sheen. I'm guessing that the vees are from pine needles, is that correct?

Thanks, Joe, yes the vees are pine needles from Monterey pines.
We just had a huge one cut down. It was more than 125 ft. high, but had bore beatle disease.

Normally I'm looking for light interplays, but this pattern caught my eye.

Ann, I love snow patterns and, while I don't wish you a pile of that stuff any time soon, I'm sure you can find some great ones.
